Upton in Bloom


We want to create a display to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War 1. The Royal British Legion have a campaign to say 'Thank You' to the Servicemen killed during the war. Our display will feature the date - 11 11 2018 - and we hope to cover it with flowers and other decorations, made by members of the community. The RBL have suggested commemorations start 100 days before the 11th November so we want to put the display in place on the Old Churchyard (the 'Pepperpot') on 8th August. We are suggesting knitted flowers and ones made from the bottom of plastic drinks bottles. Suggestions for making the latter can be seen from the link below.
