Our annual Duck Race took place at the Upton Riverside Folk Festival. Diane & Rosemary started the race by dropping the ducks from the traditional starting point of the bridge. A clear lead soon opened and the first three ducks were well ahead of the field! Mercia Inshore Search and Rescue were on hand to identify the winners, and collect all the ducks which will go into storage until they are again needed - at which time the cry will echo around the town "Where are the ducks?"! The winning ducks: First number 52, second 310 and third 146. The winning owner received £75, second £40 and third £20. |
