June 2010Following on from 'Nunsense', The Pepperpot Players are now rehearsing for the next exciting production 'Murder in Play', a black comedy by Simon Brett who is well known for his plays 'After Henry', 'Smelling of Roses' and 'Foul Play'. The director is Roy Hodges who previously directed the Agatha Christie thriller 'And Then There Were None'. 'Murder in Play' has an hilarious script which employs a play within a play to satirize the politics of the very inept budget repertory company while the red herrings will keep the audience guessing until the final moments! 'Murder in Play' will be performed on 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd October, 2010 at the Memorial Hall, Old Street, Upton-on-Severn, so make a note in your diary now! There will be a light supper served in the interval. Please bring your own refreshments and glasses. The Pepperpot Players are always looking for new faces to swell our ranks. You can get involved in lots of ways - acting - major or minor parts, making costumes and props, painting scenery, dance choreography, arranging songs and playing music, chaperones for younger members, helping with front of house, lighting, sound or come and help direct a play - we have lots of fun and we look forward to meeting you! Our rehearsal nights are Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.30 - 9.30 p.m. Please ring Penny Sant for more information on 07748 734683 and check out our website www.pepperpotplayers.co.uk for photos of previous productions. |
